From placing skilled migration at the forefront of Australia’s migration quotas since Labor came to power, to the Australian Migration Reforms released by the Minister for Immigration, Ms O’Neill, in May 2023, there is no doubt that all types of skilled migration will be the most supported category of migration by the Australian Government. The reforms are also based entirely on reports of the labour market and Australia’s economic situation.
There are three main categories of skilled migration visas in Australia, namely the 189 Independent Skilled Migrant, the 190 State Sponsored Permanent Resident Visa and the 491 Remote Area State Sponsored Temporary Visa.
Applicants are mostly international students who are about to graduate in Australia, and applicants with relevant qualifications and work experience from outside Australia.

International students in Australia are entitled to an 18 month – 6 year 485 Graduate Work Visa or even a second 485 Work Visa after graduation. The Work Visa allows international students to stay in Australia after graduation with a legal visa to wait for EOI scores to be met and be invited.
1) There is a set processing period for vocational assessment and PR visa applications. However, the time from EOI submission to invitation cannot be determined and varies from person to person and from time to time depending on the quota;
2) It is important to note that if you are applying for skilled migration onshore, you do not have a bridging visa while you are waiting for your EOI to be invited. Please plan for a 485 Graduate Work Visa or a Student Visa to wait for an invitation.

After completing a one-year course Tasmania in 2019, the English language test was delayed to get 7 points, although there is their own small business, but because of the epidemic is also almost impossible to maintain. Finally, without 7 points IELTS, non-vacant professions, no nominated occupation related work, successfully invited Tasmania 491 visa.
