First of all, I would like to thank Ms Grace Shen for giving me this opportunity to share my experience here. I came to Australia to do my Commercial Cookery course, because to be a chef has always been my dream. I also want to be independent and to experience life in this beautiful country which I have always heard from friends and relatives.
In fact, studying abroad has been quite a challenge for me and I do have my fair share of problems because Australia has people from all over the globe with very different lifestyles, languages and belief systems. Luckily my lecturer and the people around me have always encouraged me and supported me.
This beautiful country sure didn't disappoint me at all. I just finished my course last year in October and I have the greatest honor to pleasure to work with all the fantastic and beautiful people in International College of Management, Sydney. In fact, not only I have gained a lot of experiences and know ledges working as Duty and Function Chef at ICMS, I also make lots of friends from all over the world.
My next destination, I hope I could open my own restaurant by next year here, so that I can share all the wonderful foods from Malaysia with all the people in Australia.
